The graph in this book of temperature and CO2 levels over time, based on ice core samples, has the two labeled wrong: that is, temperature is labeled as CO2 and CO2 is labeled as temperature. The conclusion from the mislabeled graph, stated in the book, is that increasing CO2 causes increasing temperature, when in reality, the data shows that temperature increases first then CO2. That temperature leads CO2 is the conclusion of many articles on this subject by scientists who are expert at ice core sampling and interpretation.
Continuing to sell/promote the book when this error is known amounts to lying.

i bought this book for my godsons who had questions about global warming. with all the debate out there this was a very clear and concise explanantion on what was going on with our planet and what we can do to help. i don’t know how anyone could argue that our planet is not in crisis. now that they have read the book they can start to implement the suggestions on living greener and pass them on to their friends. Hopefully more children will read this book and do the same.

Once it was discovered that the CO2/temperature chart on page 18 was not just incorrect but thoroughly misleading (it reads from right to left, not left to right), everything else in this book is tainted. It’s simply an indoctrination tool for the loony left and should be treated as such.

It is exciting to me to see a science book that is interesting and relevant for children. The opportunity to train them to care for their world is one all parents should take advantage of. Environmental awareness cannot start too early.
